- Policies -

Alpha Fitness Club may change the Policies, Rules and Regulations without notice at any time:

Waiver & Release of Liability:
Alpha Fitness Club urges all members and guests to obtain a physical examination from a doctor before using any exercise equipment or participating in any exercise class. All classes, including use of any and all machinery, equipment, and apparatus designed for exercising shall be at the member's sole risk. Alpha Fitness Club shall not be liable for any claims, demands, injuries, damages or actions arising due to injury to member's person or property arising or in connection with the use by the member of the services, facilities, and premises of the Club. All members (upon signing up) and guests will be required to sign our waiver and release of liability form prior to working our in our facility.

Credit Card on File:
All members MUST provide a debit/credit card when signing up at Alpha Fitness Club. No exceptions. This ensures we have a form of payment for reoccurring payment, incidentals, and cancellation fee. When you sign our membership agreement (contract), you are agreeing to making a monthly payment EACH month. We do offer a 'One Month Cash' option at a higher rate if you do not want to be under a contract. Besides that option, we are not a 'pay as you go' gym. You may still choose to pay us in person or by cash each month, but keep in mind we will still need a card on file. If you do not make your monthly payment within 5 days of the due date, your card on file will be charged. If payment becomes more than 10 days late for whatever reason, you may be responsible for paying a late fee. *Note: Paid in Full memberships (3 month, 6 month, and 1 Year) we do not require a card to be put on file

Membership Key Cards/Checking In: â€‹
You MUST check-in at the front desk upon entry. This ensures security and distinguishes members from non-members. Everyone should have a membership card or special insurance card that can be scanned at the front desk. If you forgot your card, you must ensure you check in with the staff member on duty. Membership key cards are never to be shared. Sharing cards is considered stealing from the gym and will result in your membership being revoked. There is a $10 fee for replacement cards. Membership payments must be paid when due. We should not have to hunt you down for payment. If your membership becomes delinquent, you will not be able to continue to work out in our facility until your account is resolved. You may be charged fees related to late or non-payments if for any reason we do not receive payment for our goods or services by the due date.

Cancellation Policy:
Your membership will continue to bill until you cancel it. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and emailed to alphafitnessclub1@gmail.com.  You will receive a confirmation email once membership has been terminated. We must be given 30-day notice prior to cancelling. This means that if you are to be billed on January 1st, for example, and you try to cancel on December 28th you are not providing sufficient notice and will still be billed on the 1st as your final payment due. Cancellation fees may apply and are due at time of cancellation. Unless specified otherwise, when cancelling within the 1st year a $50 cancellation fee will apply. When cancelling after the 1st year there will be a $25 cancellation fee.

Proper Conduct:
All members deserve a safe workout environment. Alpha Fitness Club always expects proper and respectful behavior on the premises at all times. We will not tolerate disrespectful conduct towards our employees, members, guests, volunteers or the property in its entirety. This includes but is not limited to vulgar language, fighting, profanity, aggressive or threatening behavior, stalking, indecent exposure, harassment, fraudulent behavior, or any other inappropriate conduct. You may not damage the gym in any way, including but not limited any damage to, or theft of, exercise equipment, towels, supplies or other club property, such as balls, breaking lights, breaking mirrors, etc. If you or a guest damages the gym, you must pay for it.  Alpha plays a variety of playlists over our speakers each day. Keep in mind that everyone has their own taste of music. In order to ensure you get to listen to what you want to motivate you during your workout, we highly recommend the use of headphones. We do not encourage anyone to blast their music for the whole gym to hear, you’ll only be adding onto other peoples’ background noise, and this can be incredible distracting to other gym goers. The gym is a shared space and should be treated as such.

Equipment Use:
Please rack your weights when you are finished with them. Your fellow members and the staff will appreciate your cooperation.  Do NOT slam the weights. Our definition of slamming weights means no dropping weights from above knee level. Weights must always be used in a controlled manner. If you're not capable of returning the weight(s) to the ground/weight rack under control, then you should consider lowering the amount you're lifting (check your ego).  Under no circumstance(s) is a member permitted to maintenance equipment! If you notice damaged/broken equipment, please report it to the owner/front desk immediately. NEVER add additional weights to pre-stacked machines (cable and pully). You run the risk of adding too much weight, more than what the piece of equipment was built for and causing the cable or pully to snap. If you are being neglectful and improperly using equipment which causes any damage, you will be held responsible and must pay for the damages.

Cleaning:
Please clean equipment after use (hand hold, seat, backrest, etc). The spray bottles are filled with disinfecting spray. Disinfecting the equipment you used, helps us to prevent sickness and bacterial infections. At Alpha, we pride ourselves at providing and maintaining a clean environment. We expect members to clean up after themselves, demonstrating proper gym etiquette. We care about our facility, and you should too!

Solicitation:
Unless authorized by Alpha Fitness Club (written or verbal approval by ownership in advance), you may not solicit. Solicitation is prohibited on the premises or during off premises events, including but not limited to media interviews, donation and/or sponsorship requests, selling of services, solicitations for political or religious purposes, business opportunities, or competitive products or services. You will be asked to leave our facility immediately.

Phone and Camera Use:
Your device shall not pose as a disturbance to other members of the gym. Remember, the gym is a shared space! Respect the privacy of those around you. Cameras and other image capturing devices are strictly prohibited in all areas of the facility. Especially in the locker room areas where other members are dressing and undressing. No photographic equipment of any kind is allowed in the gym without prior permission/approval from Alpha Fitness Club. This includes the use of cell phones to take photographs. Note that Alpha Fitness Club has members who are minors, whom should not be in the background of any content material unless special parental permission has been granted. If we feel members privacy is being hindered or you are abusing the use of your phone and/or camera, we reserve the right to order you to stop the use of such devices within our facility. If you continue to disobey instructions, you will be asked to leave. We reserve the right to terminate memberships where we see fit. Phone calls should be discreet and private - as should any use of your phone that projects loud noises, sounds or music. Lastly, don't hold up equipment while sitting on your phone. Our gym culture considers it a gym etiquette to be mindful and respectful of those around you.

Locker Rooms:
Lockers are available for daily use. Bring your own lock and remember to take it with you when you leave. The gym reserves the right to remove locks that are left overnight and assumes no responsibility for the contents of the lockers. We have both a men's and women's locker room, you are expected to use the appropriate locker room based on the gender that was assigned to you at birth. If you are unable to follow such policy or feel uncomfortable doing so, there are private single-stall bathrooms up the hall from the gym that you are encouraged to use. We expect proper etiquette in our locker rooms. You may not spit, sleep, or engage in any sexual conduct in our locker rooms. You may not use any electronic devices equipped with a camera in our locker rooms. Again, respect the privacy of others. Be courteous and clean up after yourself.

Loss or Theft:
Alpha Fitness Club is not responsible for loss or theft of personal property. To ensure personal property is safe when at our facility, we recommend storing your belongings within a locked locker. Keeping personal items unsecure throughout the gym is done so at your own risk. With that said, Alpha Fitness Club is not responsible for housing personal belongings or personal equipment, which includes but is not limited to: member key tags/insurance cards, exercise balls, weight belts, gloves, wrist straps, or special accessories.

Clothing and Footwear:
Members are responsible for wearing appropriate clothing at all times. You may be asked to change or will be asked to leave. Footwear should be closed toe. Please be courteous with your footwear... Due to snow, salt, and mud you should bring an extra pair of shoes to work out in. Dirty work boots are frowned upon. We will not tolerate excessive mud/dirt tracked throughout the gym. If you are caught demonstrating such carelessness and you do not have an extra pair of shoes with you, you will be asked to leave. Any injury caused, at your own risk, by wearing inadequate footwear or clothing, Alpha Fitness Club is not responsible for.

Drug-Free Environment:
Drugs of any kind are strictly prohibited. This includes steroid use in the gym. Absolutely no using or selling of such substances on the premises. If any staff member sees anyone using or selling drugs, your membership will be revoked and we will report you to law enforcement

Gym Closure and Restrictions:
We reserve the right to close or restrict access, without advance notice, to any area of or the entire gym or premise for any reason. Within reason we will do our best to give advance notice, but this is not guaranteed.  Gym closure and restrictions include but are not limited to closures/restrictions related to construction, scheduling, remodeling, repair, or maintenance (whether planned or unplanned) or for health or safety reasons, including but not limited to weather, natural disasters, power outages, and medical issues. Your obligation to pay membership dues is not dependent upon usage, availability or access to the club and premises. We greatly appreciate corporation in advance.

Freezing Membership:
Please contact us at alphafitnessclub1@gmail.com if you need to freeze your membership. You can freeze your membership for 2 months max for medical reasons, work conflict, and/or being out of town. Once we've reached your unfreeze date, you card on file will resume being charged. You are responsible for having an up-to-date card on file so there are no delays with payment once your membership is unfrozen.

Right to Implement or Change Fees:
We reserve the right to implement or change fees or other charges at any time, unless otherwise required by law. We may provide any notice required by law by regular mail or by email to the address(es) associated with the membership.

Off-Limit Areas:
Members are not permitted to enter the office or storage closet(s) without permission. These areas are for employees only! No exceptions.

Video surveillance is in use throughout the gym. Alpha Fitness Club staff watches the video logs each day to see who is entering the gym. 1) Do not bring a non-member into this gym to work out without prior permission from a staff member. 2) Do not take beverages, snacks, or apparel without paying. This is stealing! If caught your account will be charged and your membership is at risk of being revoked.

In the event that a member fails to follow these policies and any other rules and/or regulations set by the gym, Alpha Fitness Club reserves the right to cancel any membership without advanced notice or refund of payment(s) made or cancellation of any future payments due. If you are breaking our policies and are asked to leave our facility by a staff member and you refuse to do so, you are now considered to be trespassing. The police will be called and asked to have you removed. Alpha Fitness Club has the right to update our policies, without written notice. As the Club is under new ownership, new ownership is not liable or responsible for anything that occurred prior to November 1, 2022.
